After a year of testing on the Portland-Tokyo route, Delta will roll out a series a service upgrades to their international economy class experience starting this November. The enhancements were designed by flight attendants with the goal of improving the customer experience. The features include a cocktail service before take-off, hot towel service, upgraded meal service and an amenity kit. The meals feature improved dinnerware and cutlery, presented on a placemat. There will be a wider selection of appetizers and larger entrees, followed by dessert served separately. Amenity kits – rarely offered by airlines in economy class – include a cleansing towelette, ear plus and a sleep mask (in Comfort+ it also includes a toothbrush and toothpaste). Collectively, these features continue to give Delta customers a special experience across all classes of service. |
